Enter the cheat code screen (located at the cock and plucker menu), input any popular swear word or cuss, and your fire imp will respond appropriately. This also works in war chapter when entering rooms containing gas masks.
In the Barn Boys level, if you take care to knock out pieces of cheese and stay still for some time after, eventually Conker will begin performing actions such as playing his Gameboy or using his yo-yo.
Invincible
Conker’s Bad Fur Day, though similar in appearance to Banjo-Kazooie, was designed specifically for mature audiences and features graphic violence, alcohol/tobacco use, sexual humor/toilet humor/fourth wall breaks/pop culture references that make for mature viewing. Development spanned four years; its purpose was to demonstrate Rare’s ability to craft family-oriented games as well as adult ones at once.
Use the cheat code BEEFCURTAINS to render Conker invincible and thus make progress through the game easier without worrying about losing lives or restarting levels.
To skip Conker’s annoying “Stupid Logo” intro, press start right after he begins cutting apart the N logo – this will save time! Additionally, there are various cheat codes in the Options menu; most of which only work when playing single player mode; such as: CHOCOLATESTARFISH unlock all context-sensitive pads; and EATBOX activates Dodgems minigame.
Quick Start
If you turn on your Nintendo 64 and wait 3 to 5 seconds before pressing the reset button, Conker will split the N64 logo in two. This allows you to access the main menu faster.
In the Barn Boys level, if you let your game idle for too long Conker may start whistling to the background music; this is an effective indicator that a puzzle has been missed. On Beach in multi-player mode, if you jump onto a booby trap just before it explodes it won’t kill you; however, this won’t work with Kazooie on your team.
When playing Rock Solid level, let the game idle for some time until Conker rises from his chair and begins inspecting a rock. When this occurs, press [R]. This will cause him to switch over into Killer Instinct mode; an interesting glitch since Killer Instinct wasn’t intended as an adult-oriented game!
Spooky chapter offers you the chance to make zombies go limbless by firing shots into their midsections, targeting their shoulders for arms and their upper thighs for legs. Fire extinguishers or bombs may also help quickly take out zombies; note that holding these devices for too long can make their effects spread further than originally anticipated.
Extra Lives
If you manage to reach the end of Conker’s Bad Fur Day without losing all your lives, a bonus awaits. Enter “Tail” into the Cheat code screen of Cock & Plucker menu; once activated, Fire Imp will respond with an array of popular swear words and curse words for extra comic relief! It’s sure to make for an entertaining performance!
Find the hook in Windy I level to gain extra lives by deliberately dying until Death appears and starts the hook tutorial, and return to level for extra lives to appear on hook’s tail!
